Marilyn Stone Revealing the Remarkable
Conservation, outdoors and hunting page
People impact nature and nature impacts people. I am most intrigued by
what happens at the intersection of people and nature, whether it's a
spiritual experience while hunting or hiking or the challenges of
preserving wildlife habitat in the face of growing human population that
is increasingly disconnected from the natural world.
I have been published in Wyoming Wildlife, National Wildlife Federation
magazine, Outdoor America, North American Hunter, Women in the Outdoors
as well as other conservation and hunting publications. In addition, I
write the women's column for North American Bear Foundation magazine.
My writing has won awards from National Shooting Sports Foundation,
Outdoor Writers Association of America and Rocky Mountain Outdoor
Writers and Photographers Association.
I have been hunting big and small game, waterfowl and turkeys for over a
quarter of a century with a traditional bow, shotgun and rifle as well
as fishing, hiking and photographing the natural world.
